What Little Ones Learn
At Passion Preschool, we build confident early readers using the Abeka phonics-based approach, which has helped children thrive for decades. Our little learners don’t just memorize words—they understand how sounds work together. From the start, they begin reading real words and stories that reinforce phonics rules in a fun and meaningful way.
Writing goes hand-in-hand with reading. Whether using manuscript or cursive, our learners practice letter formation while reviewing their phonics skills, making writing a natural extension of reading.Through Abeka’s engaging number curriculum, our preschoolers explore counting, number recognition, and beginning math concepts. Younger learners focus on numbers 1–20, while older students count to 100 and learn to add, recognize patterns, and even tell time. They also explore money values and number words—gaining a strong foundation in math at an early age.
From God’s creation to healthy habits, science and health come alive in our classrooms. Learners are introduced to God’s world through topics like plants, animals, weather, and seasons. We teach safety and self-care in a way that is both age-appropriate and grounded in biblical truth.
Our students explore community helpers, geography, and the beginnings of American history in fun, hands-on ways. They also learn about children from around the world, giving them a glimpse of how God’s love reaches every nation.
